After School Clubs

Our aims are to support families and to provide a variety of after school activities to the pupils to help them grow and flourish outside the classroom. In Springhill everyone can achieve and therefore everyone is celebrated!

 

Breakfast club

 

Doors open at 8am

Breakfast is served from 7:55-8:45am

Children go to the playground or classroom at 8:45am

Cost: A contribution of 50p per day. No more than £1 per family per day 

Gap Club

Gap club supports families who have children that leave school at different times depending on which class they are in.

Cost: 50p per day per pupil

When: Monday to Thursday

 

P5/P6/P7 Football

 

P5/P6/P7 Football will be run on a Wednesday after school from 3pm-4pm by Mr Emerson & Mr Allen from October to April.  

 

This will take place at Berlin Swifts Football Pitch or Springfield Star 3G pitch when the weather permits. If the weather is poor then it will take place in the school PE hall. 

Cost: £1 per week

 

Equipment: Shin Guards and Football Boots/Trainers 

 

Each class will get an allotted amount of weeks to participate.

 

Football club is for everyone, but there will be a selected football team to play school matches (Boys & Girls)

 

 

P4-P7 Choir

 

P4-P7 Choir will run after school on a Tuesday from 2:50pm-3:50pm in the PE hall from September to Christmas. This will be run by Mrs Donnell and Miss Fryer. 

 

Cost: Free

 

P4-P7 Scripture Union

 

P4-P7 SU will run after school on a Thursday  from 2:50pm-3:50pm in the PE hall. This will be run by Miss Millar and Miss Fryer. There will be a mixture of games, singing, memory verses, quizzes and bible talks.

P6-P7 SEAG Club

 

P7 SEAG Club is after school on a Tuesday from 2:50pm-3:50pm between September and December. P6 SEAG Club will begin in February and run until June on Tuesdays from 2:50pm-3:50pm. These will be run by Miss Millar

P4-P5 Stay and Play Club

 

P4-P5 have the choice to go to Stay and Play with Mrs. Campbell on a Wednesday from September-April. This club will run from 2:50pm-3:50pm.  

 

Cost: Free

 

P4-P5 Coding Club 

Coding Club is another option on a Wednesday for P4 or P5 pupils. This will run in the ICT Suite and give pupils the opportunity to develop their coding skills using different aplications on the computer or iPad. This will be on a Wednesday from September-November between 2:50pm-3:50pm. This club will be run by Mr. Allen and Mr Wilson.

P4-P5 STEM Club 

STEM club is run by Mr. Wilson and pupils who attend will have the opportunity to develop their problem solving and team work skills as they work on different STEM tasks. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. This will be on a Wednesday from January-April 2:50pm-3:50pm.

P5-P7 Dance and Drama Club

On Wednesday afternoons between 2:50pm, P5-P7 pupils have the opportunity to attend Dance and Drama Club which is led by Miss Dunphy. This will take place in the PE hall. 

Cost: £1 per week

P7 Cookery Club

The P7 class will be split into two groups and will attend cookery on alternative weeks during term 2 and 3. Here they will learn how to make some tasty recipes and learn about keeping safe and hygienic in a kitchen. 

Cost: £2 per week
