On Friday the P7 class began their Belfast Activity Centre BEARS Programme 🙌🏼 This is a fantastic programme that will help to build teamwork and communication skills, whilst building resilience and encouraging the children to face a variety of challenges 😊They started off with some team building games at school in the sunshine ☀️
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding and protecting our pupils online, we have reviewed our approach to sharing content on social media and Just2Easy.In response to evolving concerns surrounding artificial intelligence and the increasing ability of technology to use and manipulate images, we have decided that, from Monday, our school will adopt a completely faceless approach to all online content. This means that any photos shared on our social media platforms or Just2Easy will only include:•Hands-on learning and activity-based photographs•Images showing pupils from behind (backs of heads only)•Work samples, achievements and classroom activitiesWe remain committed to celebrating and showcasing the fantastic learning experiences taking place in school, while ensuring that pupil safety and privacy remain our highest priority.Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
European Day of Languages 🇮🇹🇫🇷🇪🇸What a brilliant day we had today celebrating the European Day of Languages in Springhill. Primary 4 led our assembly this morning and told us all about how languages can unite us. They also showed off some very impressive Spanish skills by teaching the whole school a Spanish song! We enjoyed a special snack from our selected European countries-French croissants, Spanish watermelon and Italian gelato! Each class enjoyed taking part in a language workshop to improve our vocabulary. Miss Millar taught P1-3 some Spanish, Rachael taught P4 Italian and we were delighted to have Chloe and Marie visit P5-7 to teach them some French. A brilliant end to the week! ¡Bien hecho, todos!

P7 had a great time on Friday exploring our new IZAK9 cubes for the first time! We used our problem-solving skills to explore the 3x3 walls and took time to share what patterns we noticed 🧐 They great fun working as a team to put the cube back together again too!
